KKTM SEEDS, an organization formed by old students of GOVT KKTM College right from the first batch
of 1965 till 2019.
1. NAME OF THE SOCIETY : KKTM SEEDS
(A venture of old students of KKTM Govt.College , Kodungallur )
2. OFFICE ADDRESS : Blue Nile Apartments, Chandappura, Kodungallur;
3. AREA OF OPERATION : The Society shall carry out its activities primarily in Thrissur District. , However, it may extend its operation to any other place/s in future as per the conditions prevailing at that time
4. AIMS & OBJECTIVES :
1) Foster and promote close fraternity among members of the Society;
2) Work mainly for the welfare of KKTM Govt. College, Pullut, Kodungallur
3) Work for the welfare of the youths in the area of operation of the Society;
4) Institute Endowments, Scholarships, Prizes, medals etc. for the benefit of the students showing high proficiency in their studies and co-curricular activities
5) Honour distinguished contributions of former students of KKTM Govt.College in different fields of life
6) Conduct endowment lectures, seminars, and organise other academic activities and other cultural programmes;
7) Publish newsletters, handouts, souvenirs, and journals to strengthen communication between the Society and its members;
8) Carry out such other activities as may be necessary for furthering the above aims and objectives;
9) Promote and foster education among deserving students, whether primary, secondary, graduate, post graduate or vocational courses by all means and make such education available to the weaker sections of the society;
10) Constitute scholarships and sponsorships to the poor and deserving students in Kodungallur, Chalakudy, and Mukundapuram Taluks of Thrissur District to enable them to continue their studies and to give grants, fees and other charges or re-imbursement of cost of instruments and other educational aids, for their educations pursuits in KKTM Govt. College, Kodungallur;
11) Encourage blood donation, eye-donation etc., and educate and give awareness on the bad effects of drugs, liquor to the people;
12) Work for the progress of the country by establishing, Library, Reading Rooms Training Centres etc. for the people;
13) Co-operate in the developmental activities for the people.
14) The Society has full freedom to purchase landed properties with or without buildings for the fulfilment of its aims, from its own members , public, other similar Societies or Government. It can construct, maintain, alter, improve or develop any building or other immovable properties owned by them and also sell, rent-out, lease-out,assign, mortgage pledge or otherwise dispose off any of the Assets of the Society with the approval of the General Body
15) Better teacher, better student, better society
The Society is committed to help teachers discover the value they bring to the Classrooms and to make this value explicit and conscious. Trough helping the teachers, we hope to increase teacher professionalisms, satisfaction with teaching and improvement of teaching practices. By strengthening and supporting teachers, we will help students become better prepared thereby improving our society overall. For this, providing quality professional development programmes that empower teachers and their schools/colleges to improve educational practices to serve their students better, specifically covering topics such as the following:
1. Writing for Competitive Examinations. Entrance Examinations. Civil Service Examinations etc.
2. Writing skills generally, pedagogical approaches to the teaching of writing, other skills and topics. Curricular development for writing
3. Writing for skill areas and genres, reflective practice, creating professional learning communities and using technology in the class rooms.
NOTE : All the activities undertaken by the Association towards the attainment of the above objectives shall be carried out in India in such a manner that the benefits are open to all classes irrespective of case, creed, class, religion etc.,
