Main Features of Bylaw

KKTM SEEDS, an organization formed by old students of GOVT KKTM College right from the first batch

of 1965 till 2019.


1.Name of the Association :  KKTM SEEDS

2.Office Address : Blue Line  Apartments, Chandapura,Kodungallur

3.Area of operation : the Society shall carry out its activities primarily in Thrissur  Dist.

4.Aims and Objectives

 KKTM SEEDS (Kodungallur Kunjikuttan Thamburan Memorial Skill Environmental & Educational Devlopment Society) is formed by a group of KKTM College   old students and its aims  & objectives are below.

1.Foster and promote close fraternity among members of the Society;

2.Work mainly for the welfare of KKTM Govt. College, Pullut, Kodungallur

3.Work for the welfare of the youths in the area of operation of the Society;

4.Institute  Endowments, Scholarships, Prizes, medals etc. for the benefit of the  students showing high proficiency  in their studies  and  co-curricular activities   

5.Honour distinguished contributions of former students of KKTM Govt.College in different fields of life                                                                                           

6.Conduct endowment lectures, seminars, and organise other academic activities and other cultural programmes;

7.Publish newsletters, handouts, souvenirs, and journals to strengthen communication between the Society and its members;

8.Carry out such other activities as may be necessary for furthering the above aims and objectives;

9.Promote and foster education among deserving students, whether primary, secondary, graduate, post graduate or vocational courses by all means and make such education available to the weaker sections of the society;

10.Constitute scholarships and sponsorships to the poor and deserving students in Kodungallur, Chalakudy, and Mukundapuram Taluks of Thrissur District to enable them to continue their studies and to give grants, fees and other charges or re-imbursement  of cost of instruments and other educational aids, for their educations pursuits in KKTM Govt. College, Kodungallur;

11.Encourage blood donation, eye-donation etc., and  educate and give awareness on the bad effects of drugs, liquor to the people;

12.Work for the progress of the country by establishing, Library, Reading Rooms Training Centres etc. for the people;

13.Co-operate in the developmental activities for the people.

commitment to the Society and surprisingly this experiment was widely accepted as if the old students were impatiently waiting for such a system and the motivation gained by it , the KKTMSEEDS was registered  as a Charitable Society under the Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII of 1955 of Govt of Kerala on 16/7/2020 with Registration No. TSR/TC/214/2020.

14.The Society has full freedom to purchase landed  properties with or without buildings for the fulfilment of its aims, from its own members , public, other similar Societies or Government. It can  construct, maintain, alter, improve or develop any building or other immovable properties owned by them and also sell, rent-out, lease-out,assign, mortgage pledge or otherwise dispose off any of the Assets of the Society with the approval of the General Body  

15.Better teacher, better student, better society

The Society is committed to help teachers discover the value they bring to the Classrooms and to make this value explicit and conscious. Through helping the teachers, we hope to increase teacher professionalisms, satisfaction with teaching and improvement of teaching practices.  By strengthening and supporting teachers, we will help students become better prepared thereby improving our society overall.  For this, providing quality professional development programmes that empower teachers and their schools/colleges to improve educational practices to serve their students better, specifically covering topics such as the following:

 

  1. Writing for Competitive Examinations. Entrance Examinations. Civil Service Examinations etc.
  2. Writing skills generally, pedagogical approaches to the teaching of writing, other skills and topics. Curricular development for writing
  3. Writing for skill areas and genres, reflective practice, creating professional learning communities and using technology in the class rooms.

{NOTE:   

  1. All the activities undertaken by the Association towards the attainment of the above objectives shall be carried out in India in such a manner that the benefits are open to all classes irrespective of caste, creed, class, religion etc.,

If any of the objectives is found to be inconsistent with the objects of a Public Charitable  Institution under Section 11 or any other Section of the Income-Tax Act, 1961 or any other Direct Tax Law or any other Law applicable to such Associations/Societies as of now enacted or as may be enacted or amended at a future date, the objects stated above will be treated as so modified to accord with such Law or amended Laws so that any concessions, privilege conditions, or regulation available to and applicable to the Association/Society as well so that this Association will continue to retain its character as a Public Charitable Institution without any profit motive with public character within the meaning of all such Laws. All the objects of the Association and its activities will be confined to India except those tends with a  view to promote international welfare in which India is interested and will be carried out without profit motive and without  any distinction on account of caste, creed, colour or religion}

16)Provide medical relief and other ancillary services to the members and their families & general public.

 

5.Membership & Fees.

 

   a)Membership

The membership in the Society will be given to:

  1. Any person who completed any course offered by KKTM Govt.College , Pullut, Kodungallur      without any disciplinary action, with proof of identity,  shall be eligible for getting the membership in the Society;
  2. The outgoing student of an year after the completion of their studies without any disciplinary action, can also join the Association in advance as members for the ensuing  year onwards;
  3. All former members of the teaching & Nonteaching staff of the KKTM Govt. College shall be eligible to become Associate Members in the Association on payment of the required Fees
  4. Any permanent resident  in the area of operation of the Society, with sound mind, completed the age of 18 and who are well-wishers of the KKTM Govt. College, Kodungallur provided he believes in its Aims & Objectives and undertake to abide by the Rules and Conditions thereon and subscribe in writing to work for the welfare of the College, can also apply for the membership as per Rules;

   b)Type of membership:  There will be two types of membership

 1)Annual Membership : Rs 1000/- for the joining year and Rs 200/- on renewal every year.

 2)Life Membership:  Rs.5000/-  to be paid either in lump sum or Rs 2000 while joining and balance as Rs. 2,000/- and Rs.1,000/- in the next 2 consecutive month

   c)Procedure for Membership

  1. Any person satisfying the conditions in clause 5 a (i) to (iv) above and who are desirous of taking membership in the Society has to apply in the prescribed  form duly introduced by another existing members of the Society which will be scrutinised by the Executive Committee who will decide on its acceptance or rejection and allotment of membership
  2. Those joining members shall sign in the Membership Register with their Name. Address  contact telephone number and Date of Admission;
  3. The person/s desirous of joining the Association has to be got introduced by any other members of the Association
  d) The old students of KKTM Government College Kodungallur who are now in other parts of the country and in abroad in connection with their profession or other vocations can constitute a chapter of the society in their places with prior approval from the parent body and join us members of the society and work for it with an MOU.
